For most participants from abroad, there is no requirement to obtain prior approval or security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs in India to attend a conference/seminar/workshop in the country. However, if you fall into either of the following two categories, the organizers will need to approach the Ministry for a grant of security clearance:
1) If you are from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, are of Pakistani origin, or are a stateless person; or
2) If the event you are attending will involve visiting 'Restricted' or 'Protected' areas in India affected by terrorism, militancy and extremism, such as Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern States (except Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland).
Please let us know if either of the aforementioned conditions applies to you.
The notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, in this regard, can be accessed at- https://conference.mha.gov.in/NOC_letter.pdf

3D Secure Protection:
Confirm whether your card supports 3D Secure authentication. This adds an extra layer of verification for online payments. When making a transaction, you’ll be prompted for an additional password or receive a one-time code on your mobile device.
If you’re using a card issued by a bank that follows 3D Secure standards, you’ll automatically go through this process during online transactions
App Approval:
If your bank’s app is involved in approving transactions, make sure you have the app installed and set up.
Please keep your login and transaction passwords ready for use before hand
Familiarise yourself with the app’s process for verifying and approving transactions.
Transaction Limits:
Check your card’s transaction limits. Some cards have daily or monthly limits for online transactions. Ensure that the ticket amount falls within these limits.
Foreign Transaction Limits:
Verify whether your card allows foreign transactions. Some banks restrict international usage by default.
Some banks require information your bank in advance to prevent any unexpected declines.
Transaction Time Out:
The transaction portal has a 3-minute timeout. If the transaction is not completed within this time, it will automatically time out.
